Campaign Early Access Now Included in Modern Warfare 4 PS5 Pre-Orders
Infinity Ward has announced that pre-orders of Modern Warfare 4 will include early access to the game’s single-player campaign. Players who pre-order will be able to play through the campaign one week ahead of the official launch, with access beginning on October 16, 2026.
This promotional approach is consistent with Infinity Ward’s strategy for previous mainline entries. The publisher previously offered similar early campaign access incentives to drive pre-orders for both Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3, establishing this as a recurring feature for the franchise.
The early access benefit is available with both digital versions of Modern Warfare 4—the standard digital edition and the premium digital Vault Edition. Physical copies of the game do not include this early access opportunity, distinguishing the digital releases from their physical counterparts.
Regarding potential rewards for completing the campaign, Infinity Ward has not yet announced whether multiplayer bonuses will be tied to single-player progression. In past iterations of the franchise, players have been able to unlock cosmetic and functional multiplayer rewards by completing the campaign, though specifics for Modern Warfare 4 remain forthcoming.
