DSX PC App Beta Adds Haptic Support, Bluetooth Audio to Sony DualSense Controllers Connected Wirelessly
DSX, a popular third-party tool that enhances PC support for Sony PlayStation controllers, has added wireless Bluetooth support for haptic feedback and audio on its DualSense controllers. Previously, users required either a wired USB connection or a specialized adapter built from a Raspberry Pi Pico 2W to access these features while gaming on PC.
The new functionality is available in the beta branch of DSX+ on Steam, the premium version of the application. Users can either purchase DSX+ for £9.13 or add it as downloadable content for £3.59 if they already own the base DSX app. The wireless capability works with standard DualSense controllers as well as custom variants from manufacturers like Scuf and HexGaming.
This update addresses a significant limitation in the PC gaming experience with PlayStation controllers, particularly for games that utilize the DualSense’s advanced haptic feedback capabilities. With wireless Bluetooth now supporting these premium features, PC gamers can enjoy the full controller experience without being tethered to their systems or relying on workarounds.
