Square Enix’s The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales has received its first critical review ahead of its June 18th release date. Japanese gaming publication Famitsu awarded the game a combined score of 34 out of 40, making it one of the major new Xbox releases this week.
Famitsu’s scoring methodology involves four separate reviewers providing individual assessments that combine into a single score. In this case, the publication’s four reviewers awarded the game scores of 8/10, 9/10, 9/10, and 8/10 respectively. While the full written review has not yet been widely translated, the score has circulated across social media platforms including X/Twitter.
The Millennium Tales represents a notable new title in Square Enix’s lineup and marks one of the most anticipated Xbox releases of the current release window. The Famitsu review also appeared in an issue that featured coverage of another major title, 007 First Light, which received an even higher combined score of 37 out of 40 from the publication’s reviewers.
