God of War Laufey ‘Could’ Release as Soon as Early 2027, It’s Claimed

Sony announced God of War Laufey, a spin-off of the acclaimed God of War franchise, during its State of Play Showcase in June 2026. The game will star Faye as the protagonist, with Santa Monica Studio developing the title. The studio confirmed that the main God of War series will continue with Kratos in future entries.

According to leaker NateTheHate2, who previously revealed the game’s existence ahead of its official announcement, God of War Laufey is targeting a release in the first half of 2027. However, the leaker emphasized that this timeline is not confirmed and could change, as development schedules are frequently subject to shifts.

The same source also suggested that Until Dawn 2 could potentially release within the same window, though timelines remain fluid with no commitments set in stone. Additionally, questions linger about where Sony’s other upcoming title, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, will fit into the publisher’s release schedule, with speculation about whether it might be held for the anticipated PS6 launch.
