HR veteran Liz Prince awarded MBE for services to the games industry and diversity

Liz Prince, a veteran business manager at gaming recruitment specialist Amiqus, has been awarded an MBE in the King’s Birthday Honours for her services to the games industry and diversity initiatives.

With 30 years of experience in recruitment—over 20 of which have been spent at Amiqus—Prince has established herself as a prominent advocate for improving working conditions and equality within the UK games industry. Her recognition highlights her significant contributions to making the sector more inclusive and fair for underrepresented groups.

One of Prince’s most notable achievements is the launch of G Into Gaming in 2018, an initiative designed to recognize women working in the games industry and celebrate those who have actively worked to create more inclusive workplaces. This program has become an important platform for highlighting the contributions of women in games and promoting best practices for workplace diversity.

Accepting the honour, Prince stated: “My hope is that this recognition helps keep attention on the importance of fairer access, better representation and more inclusive workplaces across the games industry.” Her comments underscore the ongoing need for systemic change in an industry that has historically faced criticism for workplace culture and representation issues.

The MBE award represents a formal acknowledgment of Prince’s long-standing commitment to improving conditions for workers in the games sector, particularly regarding gender equality and inclusivity. Her work through both her professional role and G Into Gaming has influenced conversations around workplace standards and diversity practices across the industry, making her one of the few recruitment professionals to receive such honours for her advocacy efforts.
