Here’s when Shion and the new Overwatch season release in your region
Overwatch Season 3: “Into the Tiger’s Den” has officially launched, introducing a new Damage-class hero named Shion to the game’s roster. The season began on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 12 a.m. PT / 3 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. GMT and will continue through mid-August, offering players fresh competitive and casual content.
Shion brings distinctive gameplay mechanics that set her apart from existing heroes. The character uniquely combines traditional gunplay with the ability to weaponize motorbikes, adding new tactical possibilities and playstyles to the damage role.
The new season delivers the standard live-service content slate, including a new battle pass, cosmetics collections, and ongoing balance adjustments to existing heroes and game mechanics.
Blizzard enabled pre-loading of the Season 3 update across all platforms—PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch 2—allowing players to download in advance and launch immediately. This marks the third season since Overwatch’s rebrand from Overwatch 2 back to its original title, continuing the franchise’s live-service seasonal structure.
