Embark is finally cracking down on Arc Raiders’ cheaters and duplication antics: ‘Our commitment to anti-cheat initiatives remains a top priority’

Arc Raiders developer Embark has announced a significant escalation in anti-cheat enforcement following months of widespread complaints about cheating and game-breaking exploits. The competitive multiplayer shooter has struggled with persistent wallhacks, aimbots, and particularly problematic duplication exploits that allowed players to spawn unlimited high-end equipment and cosmetics. The cheating problem became severe enough to drive prominent streamers away from the game entirely.

In response, Embark began rolling out Denuvo Anti-Cheat in late May to a limited player pool, leveraging the system’s successful implementation in the developer’s other title, The Finals. The developer has now confirmed a broader deployment with patch 1.33, reaffirming that “our commitment to anti-cheat initiatives remains a top priority.” Beyond enhanced anti-cheat protections, the patch introduced the Forgotten Relics limited-time event and the Converging Paths project, reflecting a broader effort to restore player confidence and reinvigorate the game’s community.
