Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ Huge Final Update Adds Main Story Conclusion, Endgame Adventures, Out Now on PS5
Assassin’s Creed Shadows has received its final content update (version 1.1.11), marking the end of post-launch story content, though bug fix patches may continue. The substantial update, approximately 10GB on PS5, includes a concluding story chapter titled “Black Tides” that completes the narrative for protagonists Naoe and Yasuke, who face off against two high-ranking Templars in a final confrontation.
Beyond the main story conclusion, the update introduces endgame content designed to challenge experienced players with unique rewards to unlock. A crossover with Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced adds new Animus Hub projects called “Riptides” and “Undertow,” allowing players to complete challenges and unlock cross-game rewards. The update also includes a wearable outfit based on Edward Kenway’s iconic pirate attire from Black Flag, serving as promotional content for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced.
The “Black Tides” quest unlocks after completing the main story along with two previously released post-game quests. This final content update represents Ubisoft’s strategic shift in focus away from supporting Assassin’s Creed Shadows toward promoting its newest franchise entry.
