Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles Updated To Version 1.5.0, Adds New Game + And Much More

Square Enix has released version 1.5.0 for Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles on Nintendo Switch and PC platforms. The update introduces several significant features and improvements to the tactical RPG.

The headline addition is New Game+, a mode that allows players to begin a fresh playthrough while retaining progression from their completed campaign. This feature carries over unit levels, item data, and other progression elements, enabling players to experience the story again with enhanced capabilities.

Additionally, the update adds a Zodiac Compatibility function, allowing players to check their units’ zodiac signs and examine compatibility mechanics. The patch also includes various other enhancements and adjustments to gameplay systems, along with new settings options for customization. Language support has been expanded with the addition of new languages for international players.

The update represents continued post-launch support for the game, which is a remake of the original PlayStation-era Final Fantasy Tactics. The Ivalice Chronicles version compiles the original tactics-focused gameplay with enhanced visuals and expanded content, made increasingly feature-complete through successive updates. This reinforces Square Enix’s commitment to maintaining and improving the game across its supported platforms.
