Bank Balances Rolled Back for Forza Horizon 6 Players Who Used Exploit to Amass a Billion Credits

Playground Games has confirmed that Forza Horizon 6 players who exploited a game-breaking bug to accumulate massive in-game credits will have their bank balances rolled back. The exploit, which involved placing a GMC Hummer EV in a specific glitched state, allowed players to amass extraordinarily large amounts of credits—with some accumulating over a billion credits.

As a corrective measure, the developer announced that affected player accounts will be restored to a maximum of 10 million credits. Importantly, Playground Games has taken full responsibility for the exploit, attributing it to an error on their part rather than player misconduct. The company stated that “no further action will be taken” against players who used the exploit, demonstrating a player-friendly approach to the issue.

The rollback is part of broader efforts by Playground Games to maintain the integrity of Forza Horizon 6’s in-game economy. The developer expressed appreciation for players’ understanding as they implement safeguards to prevent similar exploits in the future. This incident highlights the challenges live-service games face in balancing player progression opportunities with maintaining fair and stable in-game economies.
