Forza Horizon 6 Giving All Players a Free Car After Eliminator Issues
Playground Games announced that all Forza Horizon 6 players will receive a complimentary 2021 McLaren Sabre car as compensation following the removal of The Eliminator online mode. The Eliminator is a competitive Horizon Play event featuring head-to-head, last-man-standing gameplay, but was disabled last week after developers discovered a significant exploit affecting the game’s economy.
The exploit allowed players to farm millions of Credits through The Eliminator, far exceeding intended earnings and severely disrupting the in-game economy. Players exploited the bug to flood the Auction House with high-value cars that would normally require significant time or resources to obtain legitimately.
In response to this economy-breaking exploit, Playground Games removed The Eliminator from rotation while they work on a fix. The developers have not yet confirmed when the mode will return. To compensate players for the removal of this Horizon Play event, all Forza Horizon 6 players will receive the 2021 McLaren Sabre free gift across all platforms. This incident highlights the ongoing challenges developers face in maintaining live-service games, particularly regarding exploit detection and economy balance.
