Helldivers 2 Gets A Much-Welcome Update To Reloading, Vehicles, And Campaign Progression
Arrowhead Game Studios has released Patch 6.3.0 for Helldivers 2, bringing significant improvements to gameplay responsiveness and content. The update introduces major enhancements to the reloading system, a major pain point for players. Players can now reload while diving, a previously impossible action, and reload animations will continue uninterrupted after being ragdolled or staggered. The patch also introduces “delayed reloads,” where if players attempt to reload but can’t for some reason, the reload will automatically begin once conditions allow.
Beyond reloading improvements, Patch 6.3.0 adds new Galactic Campaigns to work through and introduces a new biome for players to explore. The update activates the previously unused Control Center terminal, positioned opposite the armory. This terminal provides greater context about ongoing Campaigns and associated Major Orders, along with potential rewards for successfully completing a majority of Major Orders within each Campaign. A campaign archive is also included to track historical campaigns.
The patch includes extensive balance changes across weapons, stratagems, and enemy types. Notable adjustments include reductions to enemy durable damage and a decreased exosuit cooldown, making combat more fluid and responsive. The update represents Arrowhead’s continued commitment to refining Helldivers 2’s core gameplay and providing fresh content to its live-service community.
