Report: Intel and Nvidia’s “Suspected Collaboration” Set to Arrive as “Serpent Lake” CPUs with RTX graphics at CES 2028

According to a leak from Turkish tech analyst Erdi Özüağ, Intel’s first processors featuring Nvidia RTX graphics are expected to arrive in early 2028, with a potential debut at CES in January of that year.

The collaboration between Intel and Nvidia stems from Nvidia’s $5 billion investment in Intel and their publicly announced plans to co-develop next-generation PC chips. Özüağ reports that Intel’s current roadmap designates these new processors as “Serpent Lake” CPUs, which will integrate Nvidia’s RTX graphics chiplets with Intel’s processors.

The timing of 2028 represents a significant wait from the initial announcement, but marks a major milestone in the chipmakers’ partnership. Beyond Intel and Nvidia’s offering, the 2028 landscape will feature intense competition. Nvidia itself is slated to release its second-generation RTX Spark technology in 2028, while AMD is also planning new chip releases for the same period.

Industry observers believe this development could catalyze a new era for handheld PC gaming, as integrated high-performance graphics from both Intel-Nvidia and competing solutions arrive simultaneously. The convergence of multiple vendors’ advanced chips could drive significant innovation and performance improvements in portable gaming devices.
