After second season success, the Twisted Metal TV show is back with the legendary Mark Hammill in a familiar role

Mark Hamill, legendary actor known for Luke Skywalker in Star Wars and his acclaimed voice work as the Joker in Batman animations and games, has joined the cast of Peacock and Sony Pictures Television’s Twisted Metal adaptation for season three. Hamill will play Pope Charlie Kane in a recurring role—Charlie Kane is the father of Sweet Tooth, the franchise’s iconic clown-themed antagonist with a flaming head.

This casting marks another major addition to the show’s expanding roster. Season two saw Anthony Carrigan join as Calypso and Tiana Okoye as Dollface, while the series centers on protagonists John Doe (Anthony Mackie) and Quiet (Stephanie Beatriz).

Twisted Metal has proven to be a significant success for Peacock, becoming the platform’s second highest-reaching original returning scripted show. Hamill’s involvement further demonstrates the adaptation’s ability to attract established Hollywood talent while translating the vehicular combat game’s narrative elements to television.
