Minecraft’s Chaos Cubed Update Is Now Live, Here Are The Patch Notes
Mojang has released the Chaos Cubed update for Minecraft, introducing significant new content ahead of the game’s Switch 2 release later this year. The update centers around sulfur cubes, a new mob type designed as “a source of endless experimentation and possibility.”
The sulfur cubes are the flagship feature, possessing the ability to absorb various block types including TNT and magma. When a sulfur cube absorbs a block, its physical properties dynamically change based on what was absorbed—different blocks alter the cube’s speed, bounciness, and overall chaos levels. This mechanic creates numerous gameplay combinations and encourages players to experiment with discovering new and effective cube configurations for different situations.
Beyond the sulfur cubes, the update introduces a new sulfur cave biome filled with Geysers, along with additional new blocks and environmental features to explore. The expansion of cave content and environmental variety is designed to enhance exploration gameplay.
