Pixel Arcadia is a new showcase dedicated to retro games
A new digital showcase dedicated to retro games has been announced. Called Pixel Arcadia, the event is being organized by Pixel Helix, a retro game marketing specialist, and will take place on August 24, 2026 at 11am PT / 2pm ET / 7pm BST.
The showcase will bring together major publishers in the retro gaming space to announce new projects and initiatives. According to the organizers, the event promises to feature “some of the biggest names in retro” and will encompass the full breadth of retro gaming, including re-releases and remasters of classic titles, newly developed games in traditional retro genres such as shmups, brawlers, and beat ’em ups, games created for retro hardware platforms, and newly released officially licensed retro gaming hardware.
The organizers stated that the retro gaming space is broad and Pixel Arcadia aims to bring these offerings “out of the shadows” with a dedicated platform for industry announcements and reveals. The showcase represents a growing recognition of retro gaming’s continued relevance and commercial viability in the modern gaming market.
