Viewsonic unveils the world’s first 24-inch 4K gaming monitor for super crispy visuals in a smaller form factor
Viewsonic has announced what appears to be the world’s first 24-inch 4K gaming monitor, the VX24G26J-4K, bringing ultra-high resolution gaming to a more compact form factor than previously available. The monitor features a 23.8-inch panel with a native 3,840 x 2,160-pixel (4K) resolution, resulting in an impressive pixel density of 188 DPI—significantly higher than typical 4K monitors in larger sizes.
The display is equipped with gaming-focused specifications, including a 160 Hz refresh rate and an exceptionally fast 1 millisecond response time. These specs position it as a high-performance option for competitive gaming while delivering the sharp visuals associated with 4K resolution. For context, a standard 32-inch 4K monitor achieves around 140 DPI, while a 27-inch 4K panel reaches approximately 163 DPI, making the Viewsonic’s pixel density a notable jump that should deliver noticeably crisper image quality.
The 24-inch form factor addresses a gap in the gaming monitor market, where 4K options have traditionally come in larger sizes that may not suit all gaming setups or preferences. The combination of compact size, high resolution, fast refresh rate, and quick response time targets enthusiast gamers seeking maximum visual fidelity without requiring extensive desk space.
