CD Projekt reportedly has a second multiplayer Witcher game in development that’s free-to-play and coming to mobile and PC

CD Projekt Red is developing a second multiplayer Witcher game separate from its long-in-development Project Sirius initiative, according to a report from MP1st citing unnamed sources. The new title is described as a free-to-play co-op action-RPG designed for both mobile and PC platforms.

The game is set in 1230, during a period when Geralt was still a young witcher, and will incorporate familiar elements from The Witcher series’ established combat and progression systems. This announcement adds to CD Projekt’s expanding portfolio, as the studio simultaneously develops The Witcher 4, the franchise’s next mainline entry, while also preparing the first major DLC expansion for The Witcher 3 in over a decade.

The free-to-play model reflects CD Projekt’s strategy to reach broader audiences across multiple platforms and revenue streams, particularly through mobile gaming. While the report confirms the game’s existence and platforms, further details regarding release timelines, specific gameplay mechanics, and monetisation structures remain unconfirmed.
