X-Files: I Want to Believe director’s cut Disney Plus release date officially delayed
A director’s cut of the 2008 film The X-Files: I Want to Believe has been delayed on Disney+. Disney originally announced the release would debut on June 11, but as of June 16, it had been removed from the company’s press release and was not available on the streaming platform. Disney confirmed the release is still planned but will arrive later than initially advertised.
The film reunites agents Mulder and Scully (David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson) from the original The X-Files television series. Set in West Virginia, the movie involves the agents investigating a case centered on body mutilation and a psychic connection to a killer. The film was released six years after the conclusion of the show’s original run.
