EA Sports FC 26 is free on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 for a week
Nintendo has announced that EA Sports FC 26 will be available for free as part of its Game Trial program, running from June 18 to June 24, 2026. The promotion covers both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, allowing players to download and play the full version of the football simulation game throughout the one-week period.
Once the trial concludes, the game will become unplayable; however, players will retain all their save data, enabling them to continue their progress if they subsequently purchase the title.
The promotional timing aligns with the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Despite this connection, EA Sports FC 26 does not hold the official license rights to the tournament itself, a situation stemming from a high-profile dispute between EA Sports and FIFA several years ago. Nevertheless, the game is running special in-game events branded as “The World’s Game,” which are themed around the current tournament and provide World Cup-related content to players.
