According to community analysis, the issue appears to stem from how PlayStation’s backend uses different identifying factors for games, each serving distinct purposes. One identifier is specifically tied to a user’s game library and is responsible for populating the Recently Played and Most Played sections on player profiles. The discrepancy between these identification systems may have caused the erroneous clearing of profile history data.
