New Switch 2 Bundle Announced For Europe
Nintendo has announced a new Switch 2 bundle for Europe featuring Pokémon Pokopia, launching July 2, 2026. The bundle includes a standard Switch 2 console and a digital download code for the game, priced at £429.99/€499.99.
The announcement follows similar bundles released in Australia and New Zealand earlier this year, suggesting Nintendo is capitalizing on the popularity of Pokopia, the Dragon Quest Builders-inspired Pokémon spinoff that launched in March 2026.
The European bundle’s timing is strategically placed ahead of a €30 price increase to the base Switch 2 console, which takes effect September 1. At €499.99, the standard console will match the bundle’s price point, making the bundle a strong value proposition for consumers interested in Pokopia. The bundle also features distinctive packaging with Ditto artwork, distinguishing it as a more collector-friendly offering than standard hardware.
Nintendo’s approach reflects broader market segmentation across regions. North America receives a different offering with consumers able to choose between Pokopia, Mario Kart World, or Donkey Kong Bananza. This regional variation suggests Nintendo is tailoring game offerings to market preferences and conditions in different territories.
The Pokopia bundle is part of Nintendo’s “limited-time” bundling strategy, following previous offerings like the Pokémon Legends Z-A bundle launched late 2025 and the Mario Kart World bundle that originally shipped with the console’s launch but has since been discontinued.
Additionally, reports indicate Nintendo is preparing a new Switch 2 model featuring user-replaceable batteries to comply with emerging regulations—another factor that may influence purchasing decisions in the coming months.
