Acclaimed Point-And-Click Adventure ‘The Drifter’ Hits Switch 2 Next Week
Powerhoof’s acclaimed point-and-click adventure The Drifter is arriving on Nintendo Switch 2 next week, expanding the game’s availability following its successful launch on other platforms. The indie developer behind the cooperative hit Crawl brings this traditional adventure to life with distinctive pixel art aesthetics and a noir-tinged narrative exploring murder, conspiracy, and corporate intrigue.
The Switch 2 version takes particular advantage of the console’s enhanced capabilities. Players can choose between dual-stick controls or a traditional mouse-based pointer interface for the point-and-click gameplay, offering flexibility in how they interact with the game. The platform leverages advanced visuals with 4K support on compatible televisions and smooth 120fps performance, particularly enhancing the visual presentation of the game’s parallax scrolling backgrounds.
The game has already achieved strong critical success on PC, where it maintains an “Overwhelmingly Positive” reception on Steam with more than 3,300 user reviews. The Switch 2 launch represents a significant expansion of the title’s reach to Nintendo’s latest hardware, complementing its existing availability on the original Nintendo Switch.
