According to WoWhead, dataminer Stiven discovered heroic and epic licenses for “World of Warcraft Camelot” within game files that appear to be separate from the modern version of World of Warcraft, suggesting the content is intended for the Classic version.
The discovery comes amid Blizzard’s ongoing efforts to take down private servers running unauthorized versions of the game. The Camelot files have fueled speculation that the project represents “Classic Plus,” an enhanced version of Classic WoW that players have long anticipated. This theory is supported by the earlier discovery of a mysterious patch 1.6 for Classic WoW found in an encrypted vendor build.
