Mega Rayquaza-themed sets coming to physical and digital Pokemon TCGs
The Pokémon Company has announced Mega Rayquaza-themed expansion sets for both the physical Pokémon Trading Card Game and the mobile title Pokémon TCG Pocket. The physical expansion, Mega Evolution — Delta Reigns, launches November 8, while the digital version, Ruler of the Skies, arrives July 30.
The mobile game announcement came as a surprise, delivered outside Pokémon TCG Pocket’s standard release cadence. Ruler of the Skies will be the game’s third major expansion this month, following an unnamed expansion (set B3b) scheduled for July 2. The game’s current expansion, Paradox Drive, will precede both releases. This coordinated approach reflects the Pokémon Company’s strategy of bringing major content themes to both physical and digital versions of the trading card game.
