Pokémon Pokopia Adds Mythical Pokémon Event, as Fans Believe Shiny and Costume Creatures May Follow
Pokémon Pokopia is receiving a new limited-time event featuring the Mythical Pokémon Jirachi, marking the first post-launch event for the Switch 2 life simulation game. The “Wish Upon a Jirachi” event will run from June 23 to July 8, with players able to encounter Jirachi at rebuilt Pokémon Centers in the game’s post-apocalyptic Kanto region.
During the event, players complete community tasks to earn and transform wish notes into sparkling wish notes, which can be exchanged with Jirachi for star-themed furniture and decoration items to customize their Pokémon habitats. The event mechanics follow the established pattern of previous in-game events. Notably, this is the first major event introduced after the game’s launch, suggesting ongoing content support for the title.
While official announcements focus solely on Jirachi and star-themed items, community discussion has sparked speculation about potential future events featuring Shiny variants and costumed Pokémon, though no such content has been formally announced. The event’s launch represents The Pokémon Company’s commitment to delivering regular content updates to maintain player engagement in the life simulation title.
