Battlestate Games has unveiled an extensive roadmap for Escape from Tarkov, detailing significant content additions planned for the extraction shooter over the coming months.
The roadmap reveals a July in-game event titled Blackout, followed by the highly anticipated 1.1.0 patch. This major update will introduce the game’s inaugural seasonal system, marking a significant evolution in how Tarkov structures its progression and content delivery.
Beyond the 1.1.0 release, Battlestate Games has outlined additional features in development, including a comprehensive rework of the Lighthouse map—a redesign that has been previously teased to the community. The roadmap also confirms the long-awaited GPS mechanic will eventually arrive in the game. Additionally, the developer plans to upgrade the game’s engine to Unity 6, modernizing the technical foundation of the extraction shooter.
