Chainsaw Man franchise getting its first dedicated video game
MAPPA celebrated its 15th anniversary as a studio on June 19 with a livestream announcing a slate of new and returning projects. Among the highlights was Chainsaw Man Mobile Game, marking the franchise’s first official video game tie-in.
The mobile game was revealed through an intro movie during MAPPA’s 15th Anniversary livestream, featuring high-quality 3D character models and cinematic cutscenes designed to match the visual style of the anime series. This represents a significant expansion of the Chainsaw Man franchise into the gaming market.
The game announcement came alongside other major Chainsaw Man developments, including the forthcoming Assassin Arc anime adaptation, as well as MAPPA’s broader portfolio announcements, including new original series Beat & Motion and Jimoto Saiko!, and continuing adaptations of Jujutsu Kaisen: Culling Game Part Two and Dorohedoro season 3.
