The release faces significant competition that day, with Control: Resonant and Silent Hill: Downfall also launching on September 24, followed by Onimusha: Way of the Sword on September 25. This congestion has prompted some publishers to shift their releases to October—Valor Mortis, for instance, is retreating to a less competitive window. Publisher Microids announced Garfield’s continued September commitment by unveiling the game’s first full trailer on Garfield’s birthday, showcasing the classic 3D platformer gameplay.
