Logitech G305 X Superlight review
Logitech has refreshed its long-standing budget gaming mouse with the G305 X Superlight, updating its popular G305 model that held the top spot for best budget wireless gaming mouse for eight years. The original G305 earned its reputation through a comfortable egg-shaped design, reliable sensor, and affordable price point, maintaining market dominance until the Mchose G3 V2 Pro recently displaced it.
The G305 X Superlight brings several upgrades to reclaim its position. The device features an improved sensor and a subtly refined aesthetic, including RGB lighting that shines through a translucent patch on the base. This design choice aligns the mouse with Logitech’s G316 X 98 gaming keyboard, creating visual consistency across the product line.
However, these enhancements come at a cost. The refreshed model carries a higher price tag than its predecessor, raising questions about whether the improvements justify the increased investment. For the G305 X Superlight to truly represent a meaningful upgrade and warrant its higher price, it will need to deliver significant performance gains beyond the original G305’s strong foundation.
