Shinobi: Art of Vengeance is coming to Switch 2 in September
Sega has announced that the critically acclaimed action platformer Shinobi: Art of Vengeance will arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 on September 24. The game will be available in both physical and digital formats, offering players a classic ninja action experience on the new platform.
The Digital Standard Edition will be priced at £24.99 / $29.99, while the Digital Deluxe Edition costs £34.99 / $39.99. The Deluxe version includes additional content: the Sega Villains Stage DLC, where protagonist Joe Musashi battles bosses from other Sega franchises, alongside a digital artbook, digital soundtrack, and in-game cosmetics including the Medic Lite Amulet and Ghost Outfit, plus 2000 Gold currency for in-game use.
An important point for existing players: there is no upgrade path for those who own the original Switch version. This means players will need to purchase the Switch 2 version separately if they wish to continue playing on the newer hardware, rather than receiving a free or discounted upgrade.
