kyousuke Outshines donk as Falcons Make IEM Cologne 2026 Major Grand Final
Team Falcons secured their first-ever Major Grand Final appearance after defeating Team Spirit 2-1 in a dramatic IEM Cologne 2026 Major semi-final. The victory marks a significant milestone for the organization and continues an impressive run for veteran in-game leader Finn “karrigan” Andersen, who has now reached his fourth Major Grand Final in the last five tournaments—just two months after joining Falcons from FaZe.
In the other semi-final, FURIA advanced to the Grand Final with a convincing 13-9, 13-4 victory over Aurora. YEKINDAR praised the team’s cohesion after the match, noting that despite entering the tournament with lower confidence following a difficult season, the team “clicked at the same time” when it mattered most.
The Grand Final will feature an intriguing matchup between the rising Falcons and the legendary FURIA squad. For FURIA’s FalleN, the tournament represents another chance at Major glory—he has previously won IEM Cologne in 2016 and 2017, and a victory would secure his third Major title. Meanwhile, karrigan eyes his second Major championship after his first triumph with FaZe.
The IEM Cologne Major Grand Final promises to be competitive, with Falcons seeking to capitalize on their momentum and establish themselves as championship contenders, while FURIA aims to reclaim their status as tournament winners and add another chapter to their storied history in Counter-Strike.
