Nintendo has announced Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, a new sports collection coming to the Switch 2 this October. The game returns to Wuhu Island, featuring 12 different sports titles and motion-control gameplay using the Joy-Con 2 controllers, which can be used as various implements like bows, paddles, and more.
The sports roster includes Boxing, Table Tennis, Archery, Tennis, Volleyball, Bowling, Basketball, Golf, Thumb Wrestling, Skateboarding, Power Cruising, and Prop Plane. The game supports up to 4 players in local multiplayer modes, making it suitable for group gaming sessions. Nintendo has confirmed that the traditional 100-pin bowling mode will return in this new installment, bringing back a fan-favorite feature from the original.
Nintendo shared official screenshots alongside the announcement to showcase the different sports and gameplay mechanics. The title emphasizes intuitive motion controls as a core feature of the experience, continuing the Switch’s legacy of motion-based gameplay.
