Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 638
Push Square’s weekly gaming column features contributors sharing their entertainment plans during a heat wave in the United Kingdom. Rather than venturing outdoors, the writers are staying indoors with games and cooling devices to beat the hot and humid weather.
Jamie O’Neill marks the 11th anniversary of Sony’s 2015 E3 press conference—which he identifies as his favorite gaming event—by replaying the opening segment of Batman: Arkham Knight. The game was prominently showcased at that iconic event and remains a standout title from the presentation.
Liam Croft continues his playthrough of Immortals of Aveum, which he’s been enjoying based on his recent opinion piece covering the game. He plans to keep himself busy with the title until the upcoming Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced launches, a remaster of the beloved pirate-themed adventure.
The column captures a snapshot of how gaming journalists spend their downtime during the summer season, mixing nostalgia with newer releases and upcoming remasters as they navigate indoor entertainment during peak UK heat.
