8BitDo Celebrates N64 In Style With New Controller And Keyboard
Accessory manufacturer 8BitDo is marking the Nintendo 64’s 30th anniversary with two new products inspired by the classic console’s iconic design. The company has revealed a mechanical keyboard featuring N64-themed styling, including yellow arrow keys that mirror the console’s distinctive C-buttons, along with blue and green A/B buttons and a red CTRL button. The keyboard features a transparent ‘Wave Blue’ casing that evokes the translucent aesthetic popular during the N64 era.
Accompanying the keyboard is a ‘Wave Blue’ edition of 8BitDo’s Ultimate 2 controller. This wireless gamepad brings the retro-inspired colorway to a modern peripheral designed primarily for PC gaming. The controller is not directly compatible with Nintendo Switch or Switch 2, limiting its use to PC and other supported platforms.
Both products represent 8BitDo’s approach to celebrating gaming history through functional accessories that blend nostalgic design elements with contemporary gaming technology. The releases coincide with the N64’s milestone anniversary, appealing to longtime fans of the console and collectors of specialty gaming peripherals.
