True to its word, AMD brings FSR 4.1 to Radeon RX 7000-series card owners with its latest Adrenalin drivers

AMD has fulfilled its promise to bring FSR 4.1 support to Radeon RX 7000-series graphics cards with the release of its latest Adrenalin drivers (version 26.2.2). This marks a significant update for the company’s AI-powered upscaling and frame generation technology, which shows considerable improvements over FSR 3 in terms of visual quality.

The driver update follows AMD’s accidental source code leak to GitHub last year, which opened the technology to modders but also prompted the company to deliver on its commitment to broader hardware support. In addition to FSR 4.1 support, the 26.2.2 Adrenalin drivers also bring optimized game support for upcoming titles including Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced and Doom: The Dark Ages | Revelations.

The expansion of FSR 4.1 to RX 7000-series cards is expected to be welcomed by AMD’s user base, enabling players to take advantage of improved AI upscaling capabilities for better performance without sacrificing image quality. According to the announcement, Steam Deck support for FSR 4.1 is also planned for future implementation, further extending the technology’s reach across AMD-powered gaming platforms.
