Disney Lorcana reveals its first cards from Pixar’s Up in Attack of the Vine
Nearly 17 years after Pixar’s Up captivated audiences with its emotionally devastating opening montage, the film is making its debut in Disney Lorcana, Ravensburger’s trading card game. Ravensburger has revealed seven cards from Attack of the Vine, the next Lorcana set scheduled for global release on July 24.
Rather than emphasizing the film’s fantastical elements like Kevin the bird or the iconic house lifted by balloons, the card designs center on Up’s thematic core: adventure, companionship, and finding purpose after loss. This design philosophy suggests Ravensburger understands what resonated most with audiences—the profound emotional journey of Carl Fredricksen and Russell’s unlikely friendship, anchored by one of animation’s most powerful opening sequences.
