Pokémon Go is launching its “Flying Taxi” event from June 23 to 29, marking the official debut of Squawkabilly, the pompadour bird Pokémon, in the mobile game. The limited-time event features increased spawn rates for featured Pokémon and offers a special event ticket called a “Go Pass” that provides exclusive perks and bonuses throughout the event period.
Notably, the event will transition into a Team Go Rocket Takeover beginning June 25, integrating villainous Team Rocket encounters and rewards with the second half of the Flying Taxi event. This creates a combined experience with both the new Pokémon debut and Team Rocket-themed gameplay elements running concurrently.
Players can catch Squawkabilly through multiple methods during the event: encountering it in the wild during normal gameplay or obtaining it by completing special Field Research Tasks designed specifically for the event.
