Sega Announces Two Sonic Game Collections For Switch
Sega has announced two dedicated retro game collections for Nintendo Switch, both launching in October 2026 as part of Sonic the Hedgehog’s 35th birthday celebrations.
The Classic Sonic Collection will be priced at $49.99 USD and bundles together previously released classic Sonic titles. The Modern Sonic Collection, also $49.99 USD, similarly collects modern Sonic games that have been available separately on the platform. Both are physical releases, each featuring a reversible 35th anniversary cover sheet to commemorate the milestone.
These collections offer convenience for players who wish to purchase multiple Sonic titles as single bundled packages rather than buying them individually. The special anniversary packaging is designed to appeal to collectors and longtime fans of the franchise. The simultaneous release date and identical pricing suggest Sega intends to serve both classic and modern Sonic preferences within the fanbase.
