A proper vampire class is coming to D&D via a Vampire: The Masquerade tie-in
A new vampire class is coming to Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition through an upcoming supplement called Bound By Blood, developed by Ghostfire Gaming in collaboration with White Wolf. The supplement will allow D&D players to fully embrace vampire gameplay, addressing a long-standing gap for players seeking traditional vampire options in the popular TTRPG system.
Previously, the only official vampire-related option for D&D 5e players was the dhampir race included in Van Richten’s Guide to Ravenloft (2021), which provided rules for playing half-vampires. Many players sought a complete vampire class option comparable to what’s available in Vampire: The Masquerade, the dedicated vampire TTRPG.
The Bound By Blood supplement will introduce a full vampire class complete with blood point mechanics, giving players more authentic vampire gameplay within the D&D 5e framework. This cross-IP collaboration between Ghostfire Gaming and White Wolf represents an interesting convergence of two major tabletop RPG properties, bringing Vampire: The Masquerade themes and mechanics into the D&D ecosystem.
