Helluva Boss creator reveals season 3 release date, steamy first clip
Vivienne Medrano, founder of Spindlehorse animation studio and YouTube creator known as Vivziepop, announced season 3 of Helluva Boss at the 2026 Annecy International Animation Film Festival. The presentation featured the first public clip from the upcoming season, showcasing a steamy romantic scene between the show’s central characters: Blitzo, a hell-born imp, and Stolas, a demon lord.
Helluva Boss is an adult animated series existing within the same universe as Medrano’s companion show Hazbin Hotel. The clip underscores that the series maintains its mature content rating and adult audience focus. The romantic subplot between Blitzo and Stolas, which formed the emotional core of the first two seasons as the characters grappled with their forbidden relationship, appears set to continue as a major narrative thread.
Medrano also revealed the release date for part one of season 3 during the festival presentation. The announcement at the prestigious international animation festival marks a significant moment for the franchise, which has cultivated a dedicated fanbase through its distinctive blend of humor, character-driven storytelling, and mature animation style. The continued emphasis on the central romantic relationship suggests it will remain central to season 3’s narrative arc.
