Lords Of The Fallen 2 Escapes A Stacked September Release Date, Skulks Into 2027

Lords of the Fallen II has been delayed from its planned September 2026 release to early 2027. The decision was announced by CI Games CEO Marek Tyminski, who explained the delay is strategic, positioning the game outside the highly competitive holiday period to ensure it receives “the dedicated attention it deserves.”

The dark fantasy RPG sequel was originally scheduled for September, but faces significant competition in that crowded window. The situation becomes even more challenging with the monstrously anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI launching in November 2026, creating a particularly difficult release landscape for major titles. By shifting to early 2027, Lords of the Fallen II avoids direct competition with major anticipated releases and blockbuster franchises that dominate the latter half of the calendar year.

From what has been shown publicly so far, the sequel appears to be shaping up as a notable improvement over the original Lords of the Fallen, with development continuing to progress steadily toward the new 2027 release window.
