Pokémon TCG Pocket’s Next Expansion Might Be Its Cutest Yet
The Pokémon Company has announced the latest expansion for the mobile game Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, titled “Everyday Wonders.” The set will launch on June 29 at 9 p.m. EDT (June 30 at 2 a.m. BST) and will remain active throughout most of July.
Focused on cute Pokémon with charming illustrations, the expansion features adorable full-art card designs of fan-favorite creatures. Notable cards include a cute Pikachu, a huggable Piplup, and both regular and new card variants of Sylveon. The set’s design philosophy appears to prioritize adorable aesthetics, with even the pack art reflecting this cuteness theme.
From a competitive gameplay perspective, the expansion includes cards with strategic utility. A non-ex Sylveon card features an ability that heals 30 HP per turn from any of your Pokémon if it has a Tool attached. Additionally, a Dedenne ex card has an attack that deals 40 damage per Tool attached to all of your Pokémon, potentially dealing up to 160 damage in favorable conditions.
The “Everyday Wonders” expansion continues The Pokémon Company’s monthly release schedule for TCG Pocket. Following this set, players can expect the “Ruler of the Skies” expansion, which was announced earlier in the week and will focus on the legendary Pokémon Rayquaza. This expansion will also introduce Mega Evolution mechanics to the game.
