New publisher Trailmark Games promises ’new path forward’ for licensed games

Trailmark Games, a newly established video game publisher founded by former executives from GameMill Entertainment, has officially launched with a focus on licensed games. The company, headed by veterans who previously developed titles including Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl and Cobra Kai, positions itself as an “IP-driven video game publisher” offering a “new path forward” for the licensed gaming sector.

The publisher’s initial slate includes four games across various established franchises. The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival will feature playable characters Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, and Michonne from AMC’s hit television series. The company is also developing Big Buck Hunter: Ultimate Trophy, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Wrath of the Mutants, and Cruis’n Blast.

Trailmark Games has secured a portfolio of established titles and corresponding distribution rights, positioning itself to leverage well-known intellectual properties in the gaming market. The company’s focus on licensed gaming comes at a time when the industry continues to evolve its approach to adapting popular franchises for interactive media. With experienced leadership from GameMill’s previous success, Trailmark aims to differentiate itself through its strategic approach to IP-driven game development and publishing.
