Zach Cregger’s Barbarian finally getting physical release on Blu-ray
Director Zach Cregger’s acclaimed horror film Barbarian is finally receiving a physical media release this summer following an extended public campaign by the filmmaker. The film will be released as a 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray SteelBook edition, featuring striking cover art from Creepy Duck Design that silhouettes the film’s nightmare Airbnb setting against a red sky.
Barbarian has been recognized as one of the strongest horror films of recent years, making this physical release significant for fans and collectors who prefer tangible media formats. The Blu-ray release includes several bonus features: an audio commentary track with Cregger and producer Roy Lee discussing the film’s creation and vision, and a feature called Behind Barbarian containing interviews with the director, cast, and crew reflecting on the film’s defining horror elements and creative inspirations. The release also includes deleted scenes from production.
This release addresses a notable gap in the film’s availability, resolving what had become an ongoing concern among horror enthusiasts seeking an official physical edition of the critically acclaimed title.
