Far Cry TV Show Adds A Fantastic Actor

Actress Lizzy Caplan has joined the cast of the upcoming Far Cry television series coming to FX and Hulu. Announced on June 25 through the official Far Cry social media account, Caplan becomes the second confirmed cast member for the project, joining Rob McElhenney (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) who is also serving as an executive producer alongside his acting role.

Caplan brings significant television pedigree to the project. She is best known for Emmy-nominated performances in the critically-acclaimed drama “Fleishman Is in Trouble” and the medical series “Masters of Sex.” Her filmography also includes notable roles in the “Now You See Me” film series and the comedy “Mean Girls.”

The Far Cry television adaptation is being helmed by Noah Hawley, known for his work on acclaimed series including “Fargo” and the upcoming “Alien Earth,” who serves as showrunner and executive producer. In a departure from traditional video game adaptations, Hawley has indicated that the series will not be based on any single Far Cry game, but rather will draw inspiration from various entries across the franchise, allowing for a more original creative vision.

The Far Cry TV series was officially announced in November 2025 and represents another entry in the growing trend of video game properties being adapted for television and film. With its combination of established talent like Caplan and McElhenney, coupled with the creative direction of acclaimed producer Hawley, the project aims to capture the spirit of the Far Cry franchise while creating something distinct for the small screen.
