How to Get a Boss Sprite in Fortnite Chapter 7, Season 3

Fortnite Chapter 7, Season 3’s mid-season update has introduced five new Sprites to collect, expanding the total roster to 16 collectible Sprites this season. The Sprite collection mechanic has emerged as one of the most popular features of the current season, prompting Epic Games to continue rolling out fresh additions.

The new Sprites include the Boss Sprite, Striker Sprite, and Fishy Sprite, each obtainable through different gameplay methods. Boss Sprites are acquired by eliminating roaming bosses scattered across the map—a departure from previous seasons where bosses occupied fixed locations. The roaming nature of these bosses makes them challenging to locate consistently.

The Striker Sprite serves as a thematic tie-in to the ongoing World Cup event. Players can obtain it by scoring a goal at the soccer pitch, an unnamed Point of Interest (POI) located in the bottom-left corner of the map, southeast of Heatwave Harbor and west of Sunken Shores. The soccer field appears as a blue rectangle on the map and is marked as a contested drop spot due to high player demand.

For the Fishy Sprite, players should visit Fishing Spots scattered around the map. Near these locations, players can find barrels containing fishing equipment, which they can equip and use to cast into the water.

Beyond the three featured Sprites, the collection system includes variant forms that provide additional effects. Gold variants grant players 3x bonus XP from eliminations, incentivizing collectors to pursue different versions of each Sprite. The expanded Sprite roster and diverse acquisition methods indicate Epic Games’ commitment to maintaining player engagement through varied collecting gameplay mechanics and thematic seasonal content.
