Monster Hunter Stories 3 ‘Rudy’ Side-Story DLC Announced, Out Now Alongside Free Update
Capcom has announced and released “Additional Side Story: Rudy” DLC for Monster Hunter Stories 3. The paid content, available now across all platforms, costs $9.99 but is included free with the Deluxe and Premium Deluxe Editions of the game.
The DLC focuses on Rudy, a young Felyne character, and explores the origins of the “Royal Felyne” lineage that dates back to the original Monster Hunter Stories. According to producer Ryozo Tsujimoto, the story places Rudy in an unexpected situation where he encounters Navirou, the legendary Felyne protagonist from the first game who saved the world.
The announcement was made during a Capcom Spotlight live stream, introducing the side story as a continuation of the Monster Hunter Stories universe. The DLC provides an opportunity for fans to reconnect with beloved characters from the franchise’s history while expanding lore around the Felyne race.
Alongside the story DLC, Capcom released a free update for Monster Hunter Stories 3 that introduces harder content, giving players additional challenges beyond the main game and existing DLC offerings.
