How To Unlock The Kowakujo Easter Egg Song In Black Ops 7 Zombies

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7’s Season 4 Reloaded update has introduced Kowakujo, a new map for the Zombies game mode. Like previous Zombies maps in the franchise, Kowakujo features a hidden Easter egg that rewards players with a secret song. The track, titled “Evencry,” was composed by Kevin Sherwood, a longtime composer for the Call of Duty Zombies series.

Unlocking the Kowakujo Easter egg requires players to locate three hidden headphones scattered throughout the map. The headphones are distinctively colored blue and feature fuzzy ears resembling the Mister Peeks bunny character, making them relatively identifiable for observant players. A key feature of this Easter egg is its flexibility—the three headphones can be found and activated in any order and at any point during a match, allowing players to work toward the objective without strict sequencing requirements.

Activating each headphone is straightforward: players press Square on PlayStation or X on Xbox to interact with each headphone upon discovery. Once all three headphones have been activated, the map automatically triggers the playback of “Evencry,” completing the Easter egg and allowing players to hear the new composition during their Zombies session.

This Easter egg continues a series tradition of hiding secret audio content within Zombies maps, rewarding players who explore thoroughly and engage with environmental storytelling. Kevin Sherwood’s continued involvement with new map releases highlights the priority placed on musical composition within the Zombies experience.
