Genshin Impact revealed the identity and appearance of the Tsaritsa, the game’s primary antagonist, in a new trailer for version 7.0 released on June 26. The character, whose full name is Anastasya Feodorovna Snezhnaya, has loomed over the gacha RPG since its 2020 launch but has never been visually shown until this moment.
As the Cryo Archon, the Tsaritsa wields ice-based powers, a theme reflected prominently in her character design. She appears as a tall, slender woman with pale skin, silver-white hair, and ice-blue eyes that border on white. Her pointed ears and outfit featuring light blue and silver coloring further reinforce her icy aesthetic and divine status as an Archon.
The Tsaritsa’s shadow has loomed over Genshin Impact’s narrative since the game’s launch, with her influence felt throughout major story updates and character arcs. However, players have never directly encountered her until now. This reveal marks a significant narrative moment, suggesting that her story will become more central to the game’s ongoing plot.
